Deals Magazine Inc. (hereinafter "Deals Magazine") values the privacy of our customers and our vendors and takes commercially reasonable measures to safeguard the information we collect from unauthorized use. The following is a detailed explanation of our privacy policy with regard to the Deals Magazine website and our related family of Internet Services. Please note Deals Magazine is not responsible for the information collection practices of those websites that are linked to our website. You should review those websites' privacy policies before submitting any private information.

Deals Magazine does not lease, license, sell or share any of your information with anyone or any entity except as mentioned in this privacy policy below:

  • Your credit card purchases are processed through one or more nationally recognized credit card processing companies. Those companies are regulated by the financial services industry and must meet certain security requirements in order to be in business. The processing companies will have access to your credit card information, billing address, name and possibly your telephone number. The processing company will communicate with the issuing bank of your credit card in order to get final approval to charge your credit card for the product or services we are providing for you. The only time someone other than a Deals Magazine employee will ever see or be privy to your personal information is in the case of a judicial request (such as a subpoena) or if Deals Magazine is acquired or sold. In the event the later happens, Deals Magazine will give reasonable notice to all existing users of our service.
  • Deals Magazine employees that are responsible for handling your account have access to your personal information.
  • Hired technical consultants conducting routine checks on the integrity of our system and in order to perform necessary maintenance work. While performing these duties, it is possible that your personal information may be accessed in order to properly carry out these functions. Please note these consultants are prescreened for criminal background checks and must sign a confidentiality agreement with regard to the information with which they come into contact.
  • Vendors who, as part of the offer, request information on our customers who purchase their voucher in order to aid redemption. In those cases when you purchase a voucher, we share some of your personally identifiable information with such vendors. While we inform them that they are only permitted to communicate with you for the purposes of the specific promotion with Deals Magazine, we do not have any responsibility for the actions of the vendor as the actions of the vendor are not in our control.
  • The aggregate data (NOT individual data) that we collect may be shared with outside companies in order help promote the Deals Magazine website or to provide relevant non-personal data to one of our advertising companies.

We employ various methods for collecting information. To begin with, we use "cookies" that are needed to compile aggregate non-personally identifiable information about the visitors to our website and to facilitate website log-in processes. Non-personally identifiable information most often consists of things such as your search preferences, the types of products you have bought, how many times you have visited a particular website, etc. This type of information is usually associated with a particular computer or IP address but not with a particular person. "Cookies" are pieces of information generated by a Web server and stored in the user's computer, ready for future access. Each time you access our website, our server finds the relevant cookie on your computer. The information contained within that cookie is then used to customize your experience with our website. The following is a list of the information we collect: we automatically record the name of the domain (for example, "" if you use a private Internet access account, or "" if you are connecting from a university's domain), the IP address from which you access our website (a number that is automatically assigned to your computer when you are using the Internet), the type of browser and operating system used to access our website, the date and time you access our website, the Internet address of the website from which you linked directly to our website and the pages you visit. Please note that although some companies don't associate an IP address with an actual person, we do. We may use other industry standard technologies like pixel tags and web beacons to track your use of our website and promotions, or we may allow our third party service providers to use these devices on our behalf. Pixel tags and web beacons are tiny graphic images placed on certain pages on our website or in our emails that allow us to determine whether you have performed a specific action. When you access these pages or open or click an email, pixel tags and web beacons generate a non-personally identifiable notice of that action. Pixel tags allow us to measure and improve our understanding of visitor traffic and behavior on our website, as well as give us a way to measure our promotions and performance. We may also utilize pixel tags and web beacons provided by our affiliates and/or marketing partners for the same purposes. When you purchase something from our website you may submit certain information, such as your name, phone number, address, business name, business address, email address, website URL, credit card number (handled by a third party through a secure website and not permanently stored in the Deals Magazine system), FEIN (Vendors W8 or W9) or other tax identification numbers such as a social security number (Vendors W8 or W9) and CVV2 number (handled by a third party through a secure website and not stored in the Deals Magazine system). We also have back up servers and power supplies to guard against power outages and other natural occurrences that could pose a threat to the integrity of your personal information. Passwords are required in order for you to gain access to your account. This password is encrypted. Do not share your password with anyone. Once an account has been terminated, measures are taken to remove those users from the system who no longer need access to Deals Magazine system. Deals Magazine servers are manned 24-hours a day, in a building that is UL approved for fire protection. When a staff member is terminated or leaves Deals Magazine for any reason, Deals Magazine changes the access codes that the staff member used to access any customer accounts.
